Think you’ve got what it takes to race an Optimist? Join us for a spirited day on the water as adults take the helm of our students’ handcrafted sailboats. The Grand Ole Opti Regatta brings together Brooklyn Boatworks supporters, partners, friends, and sailing enthusiasts for a fun, exciting evening with food and drinks - all while celebrating the craftsmanship and community at the heart of our programs. Come ready to race, cheer, mingle, and get a little wet!
Only five teams of six will step aboard our 8-foot Optimist Prams and race head-to-head on the water.
No racing experience required - just a competitive streak, and a love for sailing.
