BKBW Fall Regatta - Battle of the Optimists

Hosted by Matthew Rhys
September 25th, 2026 | 5 PM | Brooklyn Bridge Marina
Followed by food, wine, beer, and cocktails at Harbor House

Think you’ve got what it takes to race an Optimist? Join us for a spirited day on the water as adults take the helm of our students’ handcrafted sailboats. The BKBW Fall Regatta brings together Brooklyn Boatworks supporters, partners, friends, and sailing enthusiasts for a fun, exciting evening with food and drinks - all while celebrating the craftsmanship and community at the heart of our programs. Come ready to race, cheer, mingle, and get a little wet!

Only five teams of six will step aboard our 8-foot Optimist Prams and race head-to-head on the water.
No racing experience required - just a competitive streak, and a love for sailing.
