Today in Boatworks we used gorilla glue and water and put on the stringers and hog. Hog is a funny word for that piece. After I drilled it to the boat I went back and finished cutting another piece. I can't wait for the field trips and when we get to sail in the boat.
Today in Boatworks we worked on cutting and lofting the few pieces left of the boat and getting more things done on the hull. I felt being Captain of the Day was fun because I got to sit on the Captain's chair and wear the hat. My favorite part of Boatworks was cutting and socializing with my friends.
Today we worked on drilling the forward and aft transoms and also cutting out the mast thwart. I felt being Captain of the Day was fun because you get to take pictures, assign jobs and/or give advice to those who need help. My favorite part of Boatworks is working on the boat with we work as a team and I'm a team player. One thing we did well today was listening to the teachers and putting in hard work on everything we did at every station.
Becoming Captain was a momentous occasion that can be summed up in 3 words: Kicked Major Fanny.
Today in Boatworks we worked on how to cut the wood and its shape and then we will sandpaper the wood down. Just if it has sharp edges. I learned to cut the wood by rocking the saw back and forward and by being Captain of the Day I made everybody do things right. I felt being Captain of the day was cool and I got to learn with the students and did a lot of stuff. My favorite part of Boatworks is cutting the wood because I did it before and I built things before and the students like it too. One thing we did well today was having fun and sandpapering the wood after we the cut the wood and everybody did well and had fun.
